Gutter Cleaning done right.

Clean gutters, flushed downspouts, full inspection on every job. Across Collingwood, Wasaga, Blue Mountains, and surrounding areas.

Gutter Cleaning You Can Actually See

Most "gutter cleaning" services hand-clear visible debris from the top and call it done. That's not what we do. Every gutter cleaning we perform includes full physical removal of debris, downspout flushing with water, joint and seam inspection, and a written summary of any issues we spot — fascia damage, separated seams, improper pitch, missing hangers, or downspout rot.

What's included in every gutter cleaning

  • Full debris removal — leaves, twigs, pine needles, shingle grit, and bird/squirrel debris all bagged and removed.
  • Downspout flushing — water run through every downspout to confirm clear flow. We don't leave until water flows from every outlet.
  • Visual inspection — fascia condition, seam separation, pitch, hangers, and downspout integrity all checked.
  • Photo report (on request) — we send photos of any issues we find so you can decide on repairs.
  • Bagged debris cleanup — we take all debris with us. Your yard looks like we were never there.

Why fall gutter cleaning matters in our region

Georgian Bay, the Blue Mountains, and Grey County all have mature tree canopies — maple, oak, ash, and pine. Heavy leaf and needle fall in October and November combines with the first freeze cycles of November and December, and that's when the damage happens. Blocked gutters in freezing weather cause ice dams. Ice dams cause water to back up under shingles and into fascia, soffit, and eventually walls. We've seen $15,000+ repair bills directly caused by skipped fall gutter cleanings.

Spring gutter cleaning

Spring cleans clear out winter debris, check for any damage from ice loads, and prepare the system for spring rains. Many properties — especially older homes — also benefit from a downspout extension check at this time to ensure water is being directed away from foundations.

How often should I get gutters cleaned?

Most properties: twice a year (spring and fall). Properties with heavy tree coverage or pine trees: 3 times a year (spring, mid-summer, fall). Properties with gutter guards still need annual cleaning — guards reduce debris but don't eliminate it, and they can hide problems for longer.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does gutter cleaning cost?
Most single-family homes are $200 to $400. Larger homes, two-storey homes, and properties with heavy tree coverage may be more. We give firm upfront quotes once we know the property.
Do you clean gutter guards?
Yes — we clean gutter guards as part of our service, and on heavily-guarded systems we can remove sections to do a proper interior clean if needed. We also flag if your guards are causing more harm than good (some products do).
Will you tell me if my gutters need repair?
Yes — and with photos if you want. We don't do gutter repair ourselves, but we'll flag separated seams, fascia damage, improper pitch, missing hangers, and downspout issues so you can get them addressed before they cause water damage.
When should I book fall gutter cleaning?
October to early November is ideal — after most leaves have dropped but before snow and freeze cycles. Booking in August or September secures your preferred date.
Do you do gutter cleaning in winter?
Generally no — frozen debris and snow on roofs makes it unsafe and ineffective. We schedule December cleans only in mild years and only on accessible roofs.
